Medlock Bridge August Pub Night – Featuring Calcutta Team Bidding this Saturday, August 22nd, at 7:30 p.m.
The Medlock Bridge August Pub Night – this Saturday, August 22nd – is open to all adult residents. In addition to food and beverages, the August Pub Night will feature bidding for teams paired for the 34th Calcutta Tennis Championship on Labor Day weekend (September 4 – 6). The tournament was postponed on Memorial Day weekend due to weather, but that will not stop Medlock Bridge from putting on the BEST community tennis tournament in metropolitan ATL. And it’s for a great cause – to raise money for Special Pops Tennis!
Bid Night is a Medlock Bridge tradition, and one of the biggest social events of the year. Residents bid on all of the mixed doubles teams who will be playing in Calcutta. ALL of the bid money goes to the winning bidders for the top two teams (champions and runners up) in each Flight (A, B, B/C, C). The bidding will be led by our favorite MCs – Amy Jackson and Paul Streeter.
Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and bidding will begin around 8:00 p.m. Food and drinks will be provided for the evening. Please bring your check book, cash, or Venmo credentials for team bidding!
